Death Benefit

Qualifying condition
Where a member dies while in service;
Mode of granting death benefit
i) Is granted as a lump sum to the administrator of the deceased estates;
ii) It is either the deceased member’s “annual pension able emolument” (APE) or “commuted pension gratuity” (CPG) whichever is greater;
iii) Granted through deceased member’s employer.

Documents required
i) Benefit Claim form duly filled by the employer; (See Page 25)
ii) Letter of appointment of the administrator of the deceased estates from the court;
iii) Two passport-size photographs of the administrator;
iv) Certified copy of certificate of death/ death certificate.
